It’s been a learning experience working with all my diverse young people and families. Coming from an education background to social work has been very interesting. In the beginning, I struggled to get to know the people I supported and vice versa. Currently, I have a positive relationship with most of my young people and their families. My success story is seeing that I have helped them to get connected with other services or get resources necessary to support themselves. I will say, all of the people I support are a success story to share. Each time I have a meeting with them, they ask me when will they see me again. They have all watched me learn the job and now understand how to help them navigate various resources. I am proud of all the young people and families I support.
