Jess has been with Allegheny Children’s Initiative since June 2024.
“I chose to work at ACI due to it’s dedication to helping Allegheny County, the place I call home.”
Jess says the favorite part of her job is meeting people in their homes and making them feel less alone.
“I hold dear the time I shared a Caretaker Stress/Respite resource with a Caretaker. They initially rejected the idea that they needed help, too. But I gave them the resource anyway and said to call when they felt ready. Two weeks later, they emailed me to tell me how helpful the resource was and how thankful they were that I saw their needs.”
