Sam has been with Allegheny Children’s Initiative since the spring of 2022.
My favorite part of my job is when I can work on the behind-the-scenes projects that benefit our staff. It makes me feel good knowing I am making things better for our whole team.
Often, I have families call in with no idea what they are looking for – just knowing that they need help for their child. After discussing what they are struggling with and what they are hoping for, I can usually pinpoint which services they would benefit from the most. So many families don’t even know about the resources available to them! Any time I can connect a family desperate for change to one of our services it feels like a little win, and I know for those families it feels like a major win.
